Hi Barney ... its twice the distance to go .. but for mom and the kids... an awesome place to fish ... piper for the kids and potential up to King'i for you and mom 

TANNERS POINT ... ... 

Probably better to go during the week if ya get the chance... but hey... spend the weekend - Stay at Athenree Motor Camp... awesome ppl... and hot pools as well...

thanks for that will visit soon at the mo doing alright over here the odd kawhai trevelly gurnard stingrays a lot of small snapper (throw backs) they mange to take a big hook who knows hope to go out next week my mate got himself some new rigs & hooks he wants to try
